Artist Statement – Claus Bredow

"Fragmented Reflections" explores identity, memory, and time through the expressive qualities of clay.

The raw, textured surfaces contrast with glossy glazes, emphasising the material’s ability to capture both fragility and permanence. The interplay of light and shadow across the forms enhances their presence, creating a sense of movement and emotion.

By embracing the imperfections of clay and glaze, this work reflects on what is remembered, what fades, and what remains—finding beauty in the process of change.
